Opened the box took a quick look a the directions and a few minutes later was in business. Trapping did no harm to the squirrels. Releasing them was a little tricky - they wanted out faster than I could move but we both jumped in the right directions : 2010-09-15 08:53:16

Works but...  
I caught the squirrel so the trap does the job.
To set up the trap is way to flimsy. I had to bend/adjust the trigger mechanism until I got good results. After the third day/night it worked.
Ill use it again but Im not sure whether I would buy it again. : 2010-09-15 08:53:16

Buy one!  
I purchased 2 of these traps and they work very well! I was having issues with the local chipmunks and squirrels and wanted a humane solution to reducing their numbers. Without baiting them just setting them on the ground I caught 17 chipmunks and a squirrel in a week. (I can not believe there are still many more left!) All were released back into the wild a mile or so down the road. I did not have the demeanor to dispatch their little lives permanently. Works very well for chipmunks but for squirrels they will need to be baited. I just wish the local clan of foxes would do so well! Very sturdy well built and should provide many years of service. : 2010-09-15 08:53:16

Fabulous when used with the Havahart 1020  
I use the 1020 and 1025 Havahart traps for rats. Recently got 14 in 6 nights at our ranch. The 1020 works perfect for small rats (juvies) and the 1025 works perfect for full sized adults. Occasionally I catch a juvie in the 1025 but for the most part they prefer the 1020. Id HIGHLY recommend getting at least one of each
